ב־4 במאי 2022 דחה בג״ץ את העתירות נגד צווי הפינוי שניתנו נגד תושבי מסאפר יטא שבגדה המערבית הכבושה. ההחלטה פוגעת ביותר מאלף פלסטינים בגדה המערבית הכבושה, בהם 500 ילדים וילדות, ומתירה את פינויים של התושבים. כל אפשרויות הסעד המשפטי המקומיות מוצו, והקהילה נותרת כעת בלא הגנה ובסכנת עקירה קרובה.
כל פינוי מסוג זה, המביא לעקירה, עלול להוות העברה בכפייה, המנוגדת להחלטות מועצת הביטחון של האו״ם ולמשפט הבינלאומי. אני חוזרת על קריאותיו של מזכ״ל האו״ם לישראל, לחדול מהריסות ופינויים בגדה בשטח הפלסטיני הכבוש, כפי שהיא מחויבת לעשות מכוח המשפט הבינלאומי.
